On the 18th of June at 7:00 PM in Dubai Knowledge Park — Block 13, Digital Renaissance Music Institute will be hosting a masterclass exploring the evolution of synthesizers and their role in modern music production.
This session traces the development of synthesizers from the 1960s to the present day, offering context on how electronic instruments have shaped sound across different eras and genres. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of key synthesis concepts and how they have evolved alongside technology and musical trends.
Through live demonstrations using the Arturia AstroLab keyboard, the session will recreate a range of iconic and recognizable synth sounds, highlighting the techniques and characteristics behind them. This practical approach provides insight into how classic tones are built and how they can be adapted within contemporary production workflows.
Combining historical perspective with hands-on demonstration, the masterclass is designed for producers, musicians, and anyone interested in the foundations and ongoing evolution of electronic sound.
