TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inspiring learning environment. Please read these Terms carefully before joining the Institute.
1. General Provisions
1.1 These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as «Terms») govern the relationship between the student and Digital Renaissance Training Institute FZ-LLC, operating as Digital Renaissance Music Institute (hereinafter «the Institute») and apply to all services provided by the Institute.
1.2 By enrolling in a program at the Institute, the student confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in full.
1.3 The Institute reserves the right to amend these Terms from time to time. The most recent version will be published on the Institute’s official website: www.digitalrenaissance.education.
2. Application and Admission
2.1 All applications must be completed honestly and in full. Submission of false or misleading information may result in rejection of the application or expulsion.
2.2 The Institute reserves the right to verify any submitted documents and contact third parties (e.g. previous institutions or employers) for verification.
2.3 Admission to a program is conditional upon meeting the Institute’s academic and English language requirements, as well as payment of the required fees.
3. Financial Terms
3.1 Tuition fees must be paid by the deadlines indicated in the invoice.
3.2 Late payment of fees may result in suspension of access to the course, the LMS platform, and campus facilities.
3.3 Full details of tuition, deposits, and additional fees are outlined in the official Fee Schedule.
3.4 Refunds are made in accordance with the Institute’s official Refund Policy, which specifies deadlines and conditions for refund requests.
3.5 All financial obligations are the sole responsibility of the student, including accommodation, visa, insurance, and other living expenses.
3.6 By nominating a sponsor or third party to pay tuition fees, the student consents to the release of academic and financial information to that party.
4. Scholarships and Financial Aid
4.1 The Institute may provide limited scholarships, tuition support, or financial aid to selected students.
4.2 Such support:
is not guaranteed;
is need-based and merit-based;
may require portfolio review, interview procedures, and supporting financial documentation;
is subject to the Institute’s financial capacity and internal approval procedures.
4.3 Scholarships, discounts, grants, promotional pricing, and any other financial assistance offered by the Institute are granted at the Institute’s sole discretion and may be subject to separate eligibility requirements, conditions, academic performance standards, attendance requirements, or behavioral expectations.
4.4 Unless otherwise expressly confirmed by the Institute in writing, scholarships and discounts are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and may not be combined with other offers or promotions.
4.5 The Institute reserves the right to suspend, reduce, revoke, or discontinue any scholarship, discount, or financial assistance in the event of academic underperformance, misconduct, poor attendance, breach of Institute policies, non-payment, or other material violations of Institute policies.
5. Withdrawal and Deferral
5.1 Students wishing to withdraw or defer must submit a formal request to the Academic Office.
5.2 Refunds and changes to enrollment are processed in accordance with the Refund and Withdrawal Policies.
5.3 The Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule programs or modules due to insufficient enrolment or unforeseen circumstances.
6. Conduct and Discipline
6.1 Students must comply with all academic, behavioral, and ethical codes established by the Institute.
6.2 The Institute reserves the right to suspend or expel students for academic misconduct, plagiarism, inappropriate behavior, or violation of UAE laws.
6.3 All students are expected to treat staff, peers, and visitors with respect and professionalism.
6.4 Lessons, memberships, or educational services may be suspended or discontinued due to academic concerns, repeated behavioral issues, violations of Institute policies, or outstanding payment obligations.
7. Use of Facilities and Equipment
7.1 Students are responsible for maintaining any equipment provided by the Institute in good condition and returning it upon request.
7.2 In case of damage or loss due to negligence, the student may be required to reimburse the cost of repair or replacement.
7.3 The Institute shall not be responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings brought onto Institute premises unless caused by the Institute’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.
8. Health, Safety and Insurance
8.1 Students must maintain appropriate health insurance for the duration of their studies.
8.2 The Institute is not liable for any injuries, illnesses, or losses incurred outside of its premises or as a result of student negligence.
8.3 Students are expected to comply with health and safety regulations while on Institute premises.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
9.1 The Institute collects and processes student data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable UAE data protection laws.
9.2 By enrolling, students consent to the use of their personal data for academic, administrative, and legal purposes.
10. Intellectual Property and Copyright
10.1 All course content, teaching materials, and digital resources are the intellectual property of the Institute and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
10.2 Student works may be used for internal educational or promotional purposes with appropriate attribution unless the student requests otherwise in writing.
11. Photo, Video and Media Recording
The Institute may photograph, record, or document classes, workshops, performances, events, or educational activities for internal, educational, archival, or promotional purposes.
Students who object to such use must notify the Institute in writing in advance.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
12.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
12.2 Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
12.3 The student retains the right to raise complaints through internal procedures before resorting to external authorities.
13. Force Majeure
The Institute shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations where such failure or delay is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or governmental restrictions.
14. Learning Management System (LMS) and Online Services
14.1 Students will be provided with access to the Institute’s Learning Management System (LMS) upon enrolment. This system is used for class schedules, learning materials, assignments, assessments, and communication with instructors.
14.2 Students are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential. The Institute is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from the misuse of credentials or unauthorized access.
14.3 Students must not upload, share, or distribute any offensive, harmful, defamatory, or illegal content through the LMS or related systems. Violations may lead to disciplinary actions, including suspension or expulsion.
14.4 Access to the LMS may occasionally be disrupted due to maintenance, technical issues, or other reasons beyond the Institute’s control. The Institute will strive to provide timely notice and restore access promptly.
15. Attendance, Scheduling and Make-Up Lessons
15.1 No refunds, credits, or compensation shall be provided for missed, unattended, late-cancelled, or unused lessons.
15.2 All lessons and sessions must be completed within the applicable academic term unless otherwise approved by the Institute in writing.
15.3 Students arriving late will be taught only for the remaining scheduled lesson time.
15.4 If an instructor is absent, the Institute may provide a substitute instructor or arrange a make-up lesson at its discretion.
15.5 Make-up lessons may be provided at the Institute’s discretion in cases where a student is unable to attend due to force majeure circumstances or other serious exceptional situations deemed reasonable by the Institute.
15.6 A maximum of two make-up lessons may be considered during each academic term, subject to teacher availability and scheduling capacity.
15.7 Students must provide at least 24 hours’ prior notice in order to request a make-up lesson. The Institute does not guarantee the availability of make-up sessions.
16. Disclaimer
The Institute does not guarantee employment, admission to further education institutions, or academic success upon completion of any program. All academic outcomes are subject to student performance and external conditions beyond the Institute’s control.
